6 Hour Race Description
Seven Bends 6 Hour Adventure Race. Are you ready for this incredible Intermediate level adventure race? We have a great course for you to trek, bike, paddle, and navigate your way around and explore the Shenandoah Valley and Seven Bends State Park! Race solo or form a team of endurance friends to tackle this challenging course. We will give you a map and some basic rules to follow. You will then set out on your adventure to get checkpoints by hiking, biking and paddling. The team with the most points in the allotted time will win! This endurance event will push you to your limits!
Difficulty Level
6 Hour Course
6 on a scale of 1-10 (Racers wanting to test their limits)
6 Hour Race Estimated Distance (Sell Out is 75 Racers)
15-25 miles (Racers have 6 hours to get as many checkpoints possible and cross the finish line)
Estimated Distance = 3 Miles of Paddling, 5+ Miles of Trekking, 15+ Miles of Biking

7:30 am: Transition area opens at Seven Bends State Park Lupton Entrance, marked area by the REV3 Trailer

7:45 am: Race Day Registrations opens
(You must check-in at least 1 hour before your race) -
9:00 am: 6 Hour Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains)

9:30 am: 6 Hour Race Starts (6 Hour Adventure Race from Seven Bends State Park)

3:30 pm: 6 hour Racers must be off the course

3:45 pm: 6 Hour Racer Awards or rolling awards for early finisher
Race Packet Pickup
Packet pickup location will be at Seven Bends State Park 1191 Lupton Road, Woodstock, VA 22664. It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed for each member of your team. You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of Travel and race bib numbers at packet pick-up. There will be a $5.00 parking fee on race day for each car.
Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance
All gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This may include, but not limited to: Watercraft (Kayaks or Canoes) , paddles, and PFDs. Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by REV3Endurance.
Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)
REV3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. REV3Endurance will be checking randomly throughout the race for mandatory equipment. Missing mandatory equipment will result in points being deducted from your total score.

You will be going through transition late in the race to resupply before the final orienteering course.

Lodging
Primitive camping is available for $20 per camp site for race participants on Friday, May 31 and Saturday June 1 at Seven Bends State Park. All proceeds will benefit Friends of Seven Bends State Park.

Post-Race Food
Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race. We do provide sweet and salty snacks and drinks at the finish line. Please feel free to bring beverages and snacks with you.
Results
Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our website 24 – 48 hours after the event.

Liability waiver and photo release (Must be completed by all racers before race packets are distributed to the team). All teams signing up online have already filled out the forms. There is a $10.00 fee for each racer for race insurance. This will be charge at registration checkout online.

If there is severe weather, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened.
