12 Hour Race Description

REV3Endurance Frozen Foot 12 Hour Adventure Race.  Are you ready for this incredible Intermediate to Advanced level adventure race? We have a great course for you to trek, bike, paddle, and navigate your way around and explore the Shenandoah Valley and Seven Bends State Park!  Race solo or form a team of endurance friends to tackle this challenging course.  We will give you a map and some basic rules to follow.  You will then set out on your adventure to get checkpoints by hiking, biking and paddling.  The team with the most points in the allotted time will win! This endurance event will push you to your limits!

6 Hour Race Description

REV3Endurance Frozen Foot Sprint Adventure Race.  Are you ready for this incredible beginner adventure race?  We have a great course for you to trek, paddle, bike and navigate your way around the Seven Bends State Park and the Town of Woodstock, Virginia.  You can pick how long you want to be on the course.  Race for three hours or race to complete the entire course in under 6 hours. You will explore the new Seven Bends State Park and grab checkpoints along the way!  Grab a group of your friends and form a team or race solo.  We'll give you a map and some basic rules to follow.  You will then set out on your adventure to get checkpoints by hiking, biking and paddling.  The team with the most points in the allotted time will win!  It's a fun event and you and your family/friends will get to experience the adventure of finding all the different checkpoints throughout Seven Bends State Park and the Town of Woodstock, VA!
 

3 Hour Race Description

REV3Endurance Woodstock Town Trekking Adventure Challenge. If you're looking for a fun race

without biking and paddling, this is a great adventure race to try on foot!  This trekking only adventure is

perfect for beginners or families with young children. We'll have hidden checkpoints and challenges

throughout the Town of Woodstock, VA.  You can race as a soloist, bring a group of friends or form

a family team.

12 Hour Race Estimated Distance (Sell Out is 100 Racers)

60-70 miles (Racers have 12 hours to get as many checkpoints possible and cross the finish line)
Estimated Distance = 16 Miles of Paddling, 9+ Miles of Trekking, 36+ Miles of Biking

Difficulty Level

12 Hour Course

9 on a scale of 1-10 (Experienced racers that want to try to clear their first course) 65-70 miles

16 miles of Paddling, 47 miles of Biking and 5 miles or Trekking.
Total Elevation Gain (6,257 ft)

 

6 Hour Course

5 on a scale of 1-10 (First time adventure racers will be challenged.  This is for beginner to intermediate racers with no major mountains to climb) 12-16 miles
Less than 2 miles of kayak paddling, 2\4 miles of beginner\Intermediate mountain biking, 5\6 miles of road biking and 4\6 miles of trekking.
 

3 Hour Course

2 on a scale of 1-10 (This is designed for beginner racers with no equipment required other than trekking shoes and something to carry water in to hydrate during the race.) Total Distance 4 miles

  • April 8, 2022 - Early Packet Pick-up 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Seven Bends State Park - 1191 Lupton Road, Woodstock, VA 22664 

  • April 9, 2022 - Race Day Packet Pick-up is 7:45 am - 8:45 am at Seven Bends State Park

  • Race Day Itinerary: 

  • 7:30 am: Transition area opens at Seven Bends State Park Lupton Entrance, marked area by the REV3 Trailer

  • 7:45 am: Race Day Registrations opens
    (You must check-in at least 1 hour before your race)

  • 9:00 am: 6 & 12 Hour Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains) (6 & 12 Hour Racers)

  • 9:15 am: 3 Hour Town Trek Racer check-in at W.O. Riley Park - 540 Park Ave, Woodstock, VA 22664, Picnic pavilion # 1

  • 9:30 am: 6 & 12 Hour Race Starts (6 & 12 Hour Adventure Race from Seven Bends State Park)

  • 10:15 am: 3 Hour Town Trekking Adventure Challenge - Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains)

  • 10:30 am: 3 Hour Town Trekking Adventure Challenge begins at W.O. Riley Park

  • 1:30 pm: 3 Hour Town Trekking Adventure Challenge ends at W.O. Riley Park

  • 1:45 pm: 3 Hour Town Trekking Adventure Challenge Awards

  • 3:30 pm: 6 hour Racers must be off the course

  • 3:45 pm: 6 Hour Racer Awards or rolling awards for early finisher

  • 3:45 pm: 12 Hour Racers canoe section short course if not off the water\Shuttled back to Seven Bends

  • 9:30 pm: 12 Hour Racers must be off the course

  • 9:45 pm: 12 Hour Racer Awards ceremony or rolling awards for early finishers

Race Packet Pickup

Packet pickup location will be at Seven Bends State Park 1191 Lupton Road, Woodstock, VA 22664. It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed  for each member of your team.  You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of Travel and race bib numbers at packet pick-up. There will be a $5.00 parking fee on race day for each car.  Please bring cash for the parking fee.  

Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance

All gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This may include, but not limited to: Watercraft (Kayaks or Canoes) , paddles, and PFDs.  Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by REV3Endurance. Kayak paddle rentals can be arranged via REV3Endurance for $5.00. 

Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)

Rev3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. Rev3Endurance will be checking randomly throughout the race for mandatory equipment.  Missing mandatory equipment will result in points being deducted from your total score.

Registration Link for Camping 2022 - Primitive camping is available for $20 per camp site for race participants on Friday, April 8 and Saturday April 9 at Seven Bends State Park.  All proceeds will benefit Friends of Seven Bends State Park. Reserve your site today!

Post-Race Food

Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race.  We do provide sweet and salty snacks and drinks at the finish line.  Please feel free to bring beverages and snacks with you. 

Results

Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our website 24 – 48 hours after the event.
