Do you think you are ready for this fun and exciting beginner to Intermediate level adventure race? We have a great course designed for you to run, bike, paddle, and navigate your way around in an awesome area of the Shenandoah Valley. The estimated distance for the 8 hour race will be around 40 Miles. The breakdown will be 2-4 miles of paddling, 3-5 miles of trekking and 20+ miles of mountain biking. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at check-in at the main lodge at Bryce Resort. We’ll host the race out of the Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room. Parking will be walking distance from the race HQ at the main Bryce Lodge parking lot.

The start and finish area is actually located at the base of the Bryce mountain ski lift behind the main lodge. All racers should show and check in at least one hour before their race and attend the pre-race meeting 45 minutes before the race starts.

Early Packet Pick-up is Friday May 21st, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Bryce Resort in the Copper Kettle Restaurant overflow room
Race Day Itinerary -Saturday May 22nd, 2021
6:00 am - 7:30 am: Race packet pickup and transition set-up at the Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room
6:00 am Transition area opens, marked area at the bottom of the ski lift outside of the in the Shenandoah Room room by the ski lift.
6:00 am - 7:00 am: Bike Drop at the bottom of the ski lift for transport via lift to the top of the mountain.
7:20 am: Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains)
8:15 am: Race Wave 1
8:45 am: Race Wave 2
9:15 am: Race Wave 3
5:00 pm: Racers must be off the course 8 Hour Race
5:30 pm: Awards ceremony 8 Hour Race (Rolling Awards)
Race Packet Pickup
Packet pickup location will be at Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room. It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed for each member of your team. In addition, all fees for USARA must be paid in full at packet pick-up. The USARA fees are $8.00 for a one day membership or $35.00 for a yearly membership. These fees are required. You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of travel and any race numbers at packet pick-up.
Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance
The gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This may include, but not limited to: Watercraft (Stand Up Paddle Boards, kayaks, paddles, innertubes, kick boards and PFDs. Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by Rev3Endurance. Racers can bring their own water craft, paddles and PFD (Water challenge\paddle area will be less than five miles of the overall race).
Rev3Endurance will provide all gear necessary for these challenges. Only one team member will compete in the water challenge. The other team members will trek or bike to other checkpoints while one teammate is competing in the water challenges.
Due to COVID restriction we are allowing racers to bring their own PFD and paddles. REV3 will transport the equipment to and from the paddle area of the lake.
The water challenges consist of the following items.
1. Innertube checkpoint (2) hands and feet, kicking
2. SUP checkpoints (1) paddle or
3. Kayak checkpoints (1) paddle
Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)
Rev3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. Rev3Endurance will be checking randomly throughout the race for mandatory equipment. Missing mandatory equipment will result in points being decreased from your total score.
Mandatory Equipment - Sample List
Enough food and water for the event (There are no Aid Stations on the course, take enough water for the entire race)
Bailing device for your kayak (Sample: Pint cup quart size milk container, something to bail water)
Maps - Recommended outside map allowed (Optional Gear - Map Massanutten and Great North Mountain Map).
Map bag to keep maps dry or (2) 1 gallon zip lock bags
Rules of Travel (Provided by REV3Endurance)
Cell phone fully charged
Dry bag for your cell phone, (2) 1 gallon zip lock bags to keep your gear dry.
Basic repair kit for your bike (One Per team)
Basic Medical Kit (One Per Team) Band-Aid's, blister cream, Advil or Tylenol, sunblock, etc.
Bike Lock (One Per Team)
The main (TA) Transition Area is located at a designated area behind the Bryce Resort main lodge.

Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race. Please bring some beverages and snacks with you. You will have dining options at the Copper Kettle Restaurant located inside the Bryce lodge.
Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our web site 24 – 48 hour after the event.
