Have you heard of aquablazing? Aquablazing is when Appalachian Trail thru-hikers kayak or canoe a portion of the trail. Now you can have the chance to experience an aquablaze through Bryce Mountain Resort and the beautiful lake laura!
Race Description - Race Map
Rev3Endurance is pleased to announce the Bryce Conquer the Mountain AquaBlaze. This is a fun race that combines running and watercraft as part of your race route (SUP and kayaking/canoeing). Participants will travel on foot (running or walking) 2.4 miles via well marked trail from Bryce Resort to Lake Laura. Once at the lake, participants will travel 1.0 mile via canoe, kayak or SUP and then an additional 2.4 miles via trail back to the Resort. The estimated time to finish is 1-2 hours. We have a great course for you to run, paddle, and navigate your way around in an awesome area of the Shenandoah Valley at Bryce Resort and Lake Laura. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 at check-in at the Main Lodge at Bryce Resort. We’ll host the race out of Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room. Parking will be walking distance from the race HQ in the main parking lot at the Resort.

The start/finish area is located at the base of Bryce Mountain ski lift behind the Main Lodge. All racers should show and check-in at least one hour before the race and attend the pre-race briefing 45 minutes before the race starts.

Super Early Packet Pick-up is Friday May 21st, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bryce Resort in the Copper Kettle Restaurant
Early Packet Pick-up is Saturday May 22nd, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room
Race Day Itinerary:
7:00 am - 7:45 am: Race packet pick up at Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room
7:45 am: Pre-race briefing (Mandatory for all team captains)
8:00 am: Race start
10:30 am: Racers must be off the course
11:00 am: Awards ceremony
Race Packet Pickup
Packet pickup location will be at Bryce Resort Shenandoah Room. It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed for each member of your team. In addition, all fees for USARA must be paid in full at packet pick-up. The USARA fees are $8.00 for a one day membership or $35.00 for a yearly membership. These fees are required. You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of Travel and race bibs at packet pick-up.
Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance
All gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This will include: Watercraft (SUPs, Kayaks and Inner Tubes), paddles, and PFDs. Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by Rev3Endurance.
Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)
Rev3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. However, Rev3Endurance MAY randomly check that you have mandatory gear so please have the following mandatory equipment/gear with you to ensure your safety:

Maps provided by REV3 will highlight the marked trail route for this race

The main transition area will be located at a designated area behind the Bryce Resort Main Lodge.

Fun things to do in the Shenandoah Valley
Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race. You will have dining options as well as a full service bar available at the Copper Kettle Restaurant located inside the Bryce Lodge.
Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our web site 24–48 hours after the event.

If there is severe weather, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened.
