Race Description - USARA National Championship Qualifier
Do you think you are ready for this fun and exciting Intermediate - Advanced level adventure race? We have a great course for you to run, bike, paddle, and navigate your way around in an awesome area of the Shenandoah Valley. The 24 Hour race will feature 6 to 8 miles of paddling, 15 - 20 miles of trekking (Four different orienteering courses) and 50+ mile of biking. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at check-in at the main lodge at Bryce Resort. We’ll host the race out of Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room. Parking will be walking distance from the race HQ at the main Bryce Lodge parking lot.

Bryce Downhill mountain bike course (Green & Blue trails only) will be used sometime during the race

The start and finish area is actually located at the base of the Bryce mountain ski lift behind the main lodge. All racers should show and check in at least one hour before their race and attend the pre-race meeting 45 minutes before the race starts.

Early Packet Pick-up is Friday May 15th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Bryce Resort in the Copper Kettle Restaurant overflow room
Race Day Itinerary -Saturday May 16th, 2019
7:30 am - 9:00 am: Race packet pickup and transition set-up at the Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room
8:00 am Transition area opens, marked area at the bottom of the ski lift outside of the in the Shenandoah Room room by the ski lift.
8:50 am: Bike Drop at the bottom of the ski lift for transport via lift to the top of the mountain.
9:00 am: Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains)
9:30 am: Race start
9:30 am: Racers must be off the course 24 Hour Race (Sunday)
10:00 am: Awards ceremony 24 Hour Race (Sunday)
Race Packet Pickup
Packet pickup location will be at Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Room. It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed for each member of your team. In addition, all fees for USARA must be paid in full at packet pick-up. The USARA fees are $8.00 for a one day membership or $35.00 for a yearly membership. These fees are required. You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of travel and any race numbers at packet pick-up.
Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance
Two pieces of gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This may include, but not limited to: Watercraft (Stand Up Paddle Boards, Kayaks or Canoes) , paddles, and PFDs. Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by Rev3Endurance. Racers can bring their own water craft, paddles and PFD (Water challenge\paddle area will be less than six miles of the overall race). There will be a kick board orienteering section in this race.
Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)
Rev3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. Rev3Endurance will be checking randomly throughout the race for mandatory equipment. Missing mandatory equipment will result in points being decreased from your total score.

Fun things to do in the Shenandoah Valley
Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race. Please bring some beverages and snacks with you. You will have dining options at the Copper Kettle Restaurant located inside the Bryce lodge.
Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our web site 24 – 48 hours after the event.
